Spring 2026 Cohort
Akash Network is the world’s first decentralized cloud marketplace—an open-source alternative to traditional cloud providers that makes compute more affordable and accessible for developers, researchers, and AI teams.
The Akash Student Ambassador Program launched its pilot cohort in Winter 2025, with students from Cornell, USC, UT Austin, and Princeton.
The Spring 2026 cohort builds on this pilot with expanded onboarding, clearer contribution paths, and deeper technical support for ambassadors.
The Akash Student Ambassador Program is designed for students who want hands-on infrastructure experience, technical visibility, and real leadership responsibility—while driving grassroots adoption of decentralized cloud on college campuses.
As an ambassador, you will:
Build and deploy on decentralized cloud
Gain hands-on experience running real workloads on open infrastructure.
Understand cloud infrastructure beyond AWS
Learn how open compute works under the hood and how teams run workloads without centralized providers.
Build in public
Publish tutorials, demos, or walkthroughs shared across the Akash builder ecosystem.
Lead technical campus sessions
Run workshops, hack nights, or collabs with CS, AI, or blockchain clubs
This program is ideal for students interested in AI, cloud infrastructure, open source, startups, or community leadership. No prior blockchain experience required.
Time Commitment: ~4–6 hours per month
Duration: One academic semester (option to continue)
Each month, ambassadors complete a clear set of repeatable contributions focused on building, sharing, and activating Akash on campus:
